A bit presumptuous aren't you.

I dont see why spirits trigger soulreaping in the first place. Do spirits even have a soul? because thats the idea behind the soulreaping.
If see spirits as different things then creatures. But thats just me

Umm, technically spirits ARE souls, no? A soul is the spirit of a living creature...

WONDER IF HE WOULD BE COMPLAINING IF IWAY WORKED FOR THE SPIRITS TOO.

BUT THINK ABOUT IT ITS CALLED SOUL REAPING AND DOES A SPIRIT HAVE A SOUL TO REAP.

# In religion and spirituality, the term spirit has two core meanings: # The nature and essential substance of human souls, through which each is connected to all others, and by the experience of such connection is a primary basis for spiritual belief. In theological terms, a "spirit" (singular lowercase) is the deepest part of the soul of man, and the transmitting organ by which human beings can contact God. ...

I WOULD SAY YES A SPIRIT HAS A SOUL TO REAP BASED ON THAT.

SO THEN SOUL REAPING SHOULD BE ALLOWED FOR SPIRTS.

BUT FOR BALANCE I DONT KNOW BUT YOU COULD SAY IWAY IS STILL OVERPOWERD ASWELL SO NERF THAT TOO RIGHT.

dang i thought it was gonna only capitalize the first letter of each word like somone said

so sorry for caps then

In my opinion. Anything that is created as a result of a skill should be treated like a skill not a creature. I mean think about how much of a stupid bonus soul reaping will get as an attribute when ritualists come out. And how can a necromancer soul reap creature when it dyes if it's dead to begin with?

Yep. Soul reaping harvests a soul that is departing. Whether inside a living creature, or as an exposed nature spirit, the soul still departs when its form is destroyed, triggering SR.

If it really does have a big impact on iway, then maybe we will start gettting a bigger variety of teams in HA. Normally its: Iway, balanced, iway, iway, blood spike, iway iway iway iway iway. Maybe im unlucky, but all my teams seem to face too much iway.

First of all, if you played a decent blood spike, you know how important the spirit spammer is.
He really doesn't do any damage since he's bar is usually:

oath, whirling, dolyak, frozen, symb, fertile, whatever (maybe a trap), res

A good spirit spammer will run extremly high expertise so he will have all the energy in the world to drop spirits (with 2 energy cost). I played spirit spammer, and if you have a half brain, you can just spam spirits over and over again and see the +xx purple stuff flying around.

And yea, drain the spammer, right? How long do you think it takes to regen 2 energy or even to switch to a staff or whatever? You dont really expect that strategy to work, do you?

For Lady Lozza and whoever think that "spirits spam+energy from soul reaping" combo has no effect on blood spike, try run bs without those.

One more thing: "cogito ergo sum". Do that, think! Dont make me think you don't exist.

A proper blood spike relies on the energy gain from soul reaping when they drop a target. If you need a spirit spammer for energy management (read: waste of slot), it's time to work on your spike. It's not hard to press a button at a specified time and press another button right after.

um for your information, our guild runs a necro spike that does NOT require a spirit spammer, we have 1 n/r that provides frozen and thats it.
so yes, u can effectively run a spike without a spirit spammer, it just requires more skill and co-ordination.

If spirits were souls, then the Necro should get energy after they have been created?

No because the spirit needs to die so the necro can "reap" the soul.

ok, this spirit-has-soul-or-not thingy has pretty much nothing to do with its function whatsoever. really.

Unless you think that undeads having Divine Favor is "in-favor" for the game, that is.

Sure it is. Divine means of the gods, and Grenth is the god of the Dead. Nobody said that the favor in question had to be holy...

I'd just like to say that discussion of balance and whether or not spirits have souls are TOTALLY DIFFERENT ISSUES.
